Shanghai-a-langMacDonald Bros Set To Rock Down Under And Asia
Hi guys, we're just getting ready to
go on stage in Glasgow tonight with Westlife but we thought we'd
let you know that we've just had some great news regarding a major
long term record deal for Australia and the whole of Asia!
The deal is with Big Jo-Ke/
Publishing Music Labels who are distributed by Destra
Entertainment and SONY/BMG - Destra Entertainment being one of
the Australasia region’s biggest independent entertainment
companies .
John Evans the MD says: “We are
extremely excited about the signing with The Music Kitchen and
The MacDonald Brothers, as we would say down under in Australia
these young blokes are going places mate …..and we are going to
help bring their music to the Australian, New Zealand and Asian
markets”.
So we're now looking at a full
promotional tour which is currently being lined up in Australia
and Asia to support the first overseas release!
Gordon Campbell, from The Music
Kitchen went on, "It’s a major career break for the likeable
Ayrshire duo who are in Scotland this week playing at the SECC
with Westlife and whose third album is widely expected to zoom
into the Scottish charts on Sunday. The guys are thrilled and
honoured to be taking theirmusic to other countries and can’t
wait to get down under."
The lads who are midway through a
support tour with Westlife have been supported throughout the 24
dates by namesake, Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, a Scottish-based
four and five star hotel group. The relationship will see further
tie ins with the hotel group over the coming weeks.

The truly remarkable life story of Stuart "Woody" Wood who at 16 was a
member of "The Bay City Rollers".At one point during the 70's they were
arguably the world's biggest band with a reputed 120 million album sales
and creating fan hysteria likened to Beatlemania . Yet by 21 Stuart's career as a Roller was over, having barely received a penny in royalties .However after surviving many years in the wilderness and experiencing at times , extreme hardship, he has become a leading producer of Celtic music, college lecturer and record company executive with one of Scotland's fastest growing labels. Containing never before seen footage of Stuart before and during the peak of his fame with the Rollers, Rollercoaster is an inspiring but cautionary tale of the realities of stardom and the entertainment business. Nostalgic , evocative and uplifting ...... Also available from DVD format (PAL plays anywhere in the world) |
